What Is Metropol CRB Kenya?
Metropol Corporation Ltd is a Kenyan-owned credit reference bureau licensed by the Central Bank of Kenya. It collects credit data from banks, digital lenders, SACCOs, and telecos, and processes it into credit reports and scores for individuals and businesses across Kenya.
Method 1: Check via USSD — Dial *433#
This is the most popular method for Kenyans who want a quick CRB status check on their Safaricom phone:
- Dial *433# on your Safaricom line.
- Select Register if it is your first time, and enter your national ID number.
- Follow the prompts to create a PIN.
- Once registered, dial *433# again and select Get Credit Report.
- A basic CRB report or status overview is sent to your phone. A small USSD fee applies.
Note: The *433# service is designed for Safaricom users. If you use a different network, use the app or online portal instead.
Method 2: Check via the Metropol CRB App
- Download the Metropol CRB app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Register using your national ID, phone number, and email.
- Log in and navigate to "My Credit Report".
- Request and view your report. Your first annual report is free.
